Just a silly post / personal update today.
I've always been a fan and creator of clean design but for the last many years now I've worn a beard. I originally started out wanting to look a bit older and not have such a "baby face" and after a year or two of scruff I started growing a well groomed beard.
I think I pulled it off well, but having well eclipsed 30 now, there is no drive to look older. Ultimately the reason I shaved was to further my success, even if in a very subtle way. Research shows that the richer you are, the less likely you are to rock a beard. I'm not saying there aren't amazing examples of the bearded CEO, but stats wize, it's in the single digits and if I look good either way, may as well go clean shaven.
Its at least a fun change, and my wife approved which is typically the most important thing since she looks at my face more than probably anyone else.
